Pakistan and Gambia Decide to Strengthen Their Mutual Collaboration

 


The Gambia and Pakistan have decided to expand high-level communication and collaboration in a number of areas, including trade, agriculture, tourism, and education.



This understanding was reached during a meeting between Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of the Gambia, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar. The meeting took place in Banjul, on the fringes of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the strong bonds of mutual trust, religious affinity, and shared values that bind the two nations together.

He also expressed his congratulations to the Gambia's administration for organizing and hosting the 15th OIC Islamic Summit.

 Additionally, they talked about bilateral collaboration in multilateral organizations like the OIC and UN.

On this occasion, Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar also signed an agreement on bilateral political consultations.


In addition to maintaining friendly bilateral relations, Pakistan and the Gambia are active participants in international fora as well as bilateral political and economic matters.

In order to further develop mutually beneficial relationships, the two ministries of foreign affairs will have a regular platform for communication and interaction thanks to the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Political Consultations.
