MDH, Nestle, and Bournvita: Revisions to food control requirements are necessary to meet customer concerns.

Given the detrimental effects of consuming large amounts of fat, sugar, and salt in all processed foods, the FSSAI should have required a stated, time-bound decrease of these ingredients long ago and made sure that compliance was maintained.

The FSSAI has mandated nationwide inspections and testing of all branded spices after popular companies MDH and Everest's ground spice types were rejected by Hong Kong, Singapore, and the US due to the presence of salmonella germs and the carcinogen ethylene oxide.

Recent weeks have seen a number of food safety incidents involving ground spices, baby food, and children's meals that have not only raised serious concerns among customers.
